Server hosting via co-location essentially means that the important data on the servers is securely located in a centre that is off-site. Because of this co-location has many advantages over the option of hosting your servers in your own building.

Reliable uptime: With your server located in a dedicated facility there’s the guarantee of continued service so that even if there’s an equipment failure, you and your customers won’t know it’s happened.
